If we learned anything from watching every Full House episode (multiple times) it’s that you can do anything when you have family by your side, and that’s a lesson Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner) still practices in her real life. The actress just teamed up with her daughter, (singer and YouTube beauty vlogger) Natasha Bure to design their own necklaces for the eco-friendly line 31 Bits. And not only does each piece look great on its own, but they’re meant to be worn together. (Danny Tanner, your legacy lives on.)
The mother daughter duo partnered together for 31 Bits‘ “Designers & Inspirers” collection, which supports the company’s five-year program to provide women in Uganda sustainable income, education, vocational training skills, counseling and healthcare.
“We wanted to make pieces you could wear together or separately,” explains Candace. “We love layering necklaces and each of us has specific lengths and styles that reflect our style. We wanted pieces that were more understated when worn, adding to whatever you’re wearing, but not being the center piece of what you’re wearing. It’s clean, can be classic or have a boho feel to it.”
The collaboration is really a natural progression for the creative family, who often work together on YouTube and Instagram videos.
“Getting to design with my daughter was personally fulfilling and fun,” says Candace. “Giving others a little sense of yourself and style is equally exciting. Most of all, 31 Bits is a rockstar company who cares most about giving back, extending opportunity and lovingly teaching self-worth and value to woman who may not have known otherwise.”
Natasha agrees saying, “This project is super awesome. Being able to create pieces of jewelry with my mom is a dream. Who gets to do that?! I’m so excited for this opportunity to do so. 31 Bits has been one of my favorite places to get my jewelry from ever since my mom got her first piece. I’m more than excited to be collaborating.”
Next up for Candace includes filming season 2 of Fuller House, gearing up for another season of co-hosting The View and working on a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie.
As for Natasha, she’s taking a year off before starting college to focus on her music career. “I am so excited to be spending this much time on something that I think about 24/7,” she says. “Hopefully in the near future I will be able to release a few of my original songs on an EP.”
